At Bokem - and a little boheme, we believe in producing high-quality, fun items while also reducing our impact on the environment. Join us on our mission towards more fun and sustainable moments!
Bokem is an innovative company that specializes in bringing joy and interactivity to each project.
The first project has turned Posankka, the statue made by Alvar Gullichsen, among other things into lovely little bath toys. We also suggested Posankka to be named the official Cityanimal of Turku in 2019. And then we thought a good activity for a Cityanimal would be doing something good for its city and surroundings. So we got inspired by bigger Duck Races, like for instance the Chicago DuckRac and thought about a Posankka Race. It is a charity event now organized every fall on the Turku Day in the Aura River. All the proceeds from the Race go to The Keeping the Archipelago Tidy organization.

Maybe thanks to some of these things, or maybe thanks to it's fantastical features and personality, in 2023
the italian architecture and design magazine Domus mentioned Posankka among 15 other pieces of art, that have become symbols of their cities. Among other art works they also mentioned The Statue of Liberty in New York, Paris Eiffel Tower and The Christ of Rio.
These are perfect examples of the kind of imaginative and engaging work we love to do.
